On Earth Day - April 22, 2010, conducted experiments Festival, which was attended by students in primary and secondary schools. Students have the opportunity to not only see but also to try some experiments directly in individual laboratories STU Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava. For individual stations were carried out experiments aimed at physics (measuring characteristics of DC voltage, or a holographic diffraction experiments - http://remotelab.mtf.stuba.sk:83/ises/). In chemical laboratories for the students to try such. experiments such as ammonia fountain, pyrophoric glycerin, elephant toothpaste. An interesting example is. also preparation of NaCl from the elements. Students can also try out chemical analysis of soils (indicative of particle size, orientation determination of nitrate, nitrite, phosphate and ammonium cations, evidence of carbonates, sulfates, chlorides, or soil filtration). In another laboratory could in turn carry out basic analysis of food (sugar in sodas evidence, precipitation of proteins with metals, evidence of starch, antioxidant vitamin C). Other attempts included a guide to water analysis selected items as nitrate, ammonium, and water hardness. The solar laboratory can view the operation of solar thermal collectors and photovoltaic panels (http://www.solarlab.mtf.stuba.sk/). The botanic garden of the former students to hear an interesting lecture on the present trees from different parts of the world (http://www.botanickazahrada.mtf.stuba.sk/).
If we took you to arrange an appointment (anna.michalikova @ stuba.sk) and join us to see.
